Qu'est-ce que le thermoformage?

Like its name indicate, thermoforming is a technique which consists in forming a plastic part by subjecting it to heat and the pressure. The pressure can be exerted either by air evacuation under the sheet, or by air pressure, or by compression of the hot sheet between a concave mould and a convex mould.

Qu'est-ce que le thermoformage sous vide?

The vacuum thermoforming technique primarily consists in fixing the thermoplastic sheet on a framework and to heat it. Once the softened sheet, a mould placed below the sheet raise towards the sheet. Residual air between the plate mould holder and the hot sheet is then evacuated by a vacuum pump. The atmospheric pressure takes care to finish the process by plating the hot sheet on the mould. The sheet adopts the print of this last one. Once the cooled part, the plate mould holder is lowered and the part is withdrawn.
